RESTORATION

Restoration of old ducts or tanks of any shape using ANTICOR thermoplastic liners

Two different kinds of technology are used to restore old ducts, the choice of method depending on the size and shape of the piping in question.

Pre-welded double-walled pipes, wound on a spool up to 50 m in length should be used to line diameters between 300 and 1600 mm. The single-walled segmented system is preferable for diameters greater than this. With this method, the section of single-walled tube is made in 2 m sizes and installed section by section until the entire conduit is lined. The joints between each of the ANTICOR liners are welded together with either automatic or manual extruders.

Any section of the piping through which liquid flows can be restored using this method.

If, however, it is a question of restoring tanks which no longer have a hydraulic seal, it must be borne in mind that there will be a reduction in the amount of usable space in the tank amounting to about 100 mm per side restored. This is necessary so that the ANTICOR liner (basic versions: PE or PP) can be fixed properly. In certain cases it is also possible to use PVDF or ECTFE.
