PVDF EL

PVDF-EL – Anti-static polyvinilidene fluoride – is designed for specific applications, like the conveyance of flammable or highly corrosive (gas, chlorine) liquids or gases or the installation of piping in anti-deflagration areas. Since it is an excellent electric conductor, it can be connected with ground networks for discharging electric charges that develop inside or outside pipes.

Therefore, PVDF EL is a material subject to 94/9 EC – ATEX directives, provided the whole piping is effectively grounded.

The main application is the suction of solvent vapors in pharmaceutical companies or in electrolysis chlorine soda plants. These are just some of the many cases of application of anti-static PVDF EL, where this material has shown excellent mechanical and chemical resistance.

The pipes in the delivery program of Hürner Italia S.r.l. are available in the sizes from OD 32 since OD 250 mm with chemically treated surface for lining with thermosetting resins .The sheets have an synthetic mesh backing system with 3 and 4 mm wall thickness.
