Flexible PVDF Kynar are made by emulsion polymerization.
Advantages of flexible PVDF KynarThe flexible PVDF Kynar described above are suitable for application with products like halogenated solvents, alcohols, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, basic liquids with pH<12, organic acids, etc. On the contrary, their use with basic liquids with pH>12, 98% sulfuric acid, strongly polar solvents, alkaline metals in their liquid state, etc. is not advisable without our advice.
Welding processThis material can be welded with standard welding techniques used for thermoplastic materials. However, since these sheets are mostly thin and/or have binding layers like mats or mesh which are made in several materials, like glass, whether synthetic or polyester, hot air welding with filler material is suggested. Of course, butt welding is also possible using suitable welding machines
Sizes and conditions of useThese pipes, which are destined to be lined with fiberglass, are not subject to the definitions of internal and external pressure values, since these elements depend on the thickness of the fiberglass lining. Therefore, the existing mechanical strength of the liner pipe must be not considered in the static calculation, and the lining layer only must be considered as the statically supporting element. This is the reason why we have indicated neither positive nor negative pressure values for these pipes. They are defined as “Liner” pipes in this document.
