The products of the ultra high purity line are made of the same basic material, PVDF - Polyvinylidene fluoride -, like high purity Solexis Solef 1000, yet worked in a different way. UHP comes from a specific production on machines that have been designed for this type of material. It is packaged in double bag drums and sent to production, where it is poured into the granule conveyance system with no direct contact with the operator. After is transformed by machines placed in class 100/1000 controlled environment rooms and, as far as pipes are considered, packed right away in plastic bags as soon as they come out from the extruder.
Fittings and valves are manufactured in class 100 controlled rooms and, after production, treated in specific baths with ultra high purity water for 60 minutes:
Fittings, after being hot air dried, are packaged automatically in double bags, while valves are assembled and packaged in individual bags, again in a class 100 controlled atmosphere workroom. All molds for PVDF-UHP materials are polished to guarantee the component's smooth surface, where max. roughness values are 0.06 µm for pipes up to OD 110 mm and mm 0.10 µm for OD 250, while the level of standard PVDF is equal to or higher than 0.15 µm.
Hürner Italia S.r.l. PVDF-UHP pipes, fittings and valves, which are certified, fully comply with the European regulations mentioned in Directive 97/23/EC on the PED - Pressure Equipment Directive - homologation and approval.
The fire resistance rating is V-0 according to UL 94 standard, so, this material is ranked as self-extinguishing.
The range of fittings, pipes and valves in the PVDF-UHP line is similar to the PVDF basic line, even if valves include pressure maintenance valves, overpressure valves, and pressure reducing valves, in addition to flow meters up to 60,000 l/h, which are not included in the PVDF line.
