PVDF

PVDF - Polyvinylidene fluoride - is a pure thermoplastic and contains, like the other thermoplastics, no stabilizers against UV rays, additives against thermal aging, flexible agents or self-extinguishing components. Consequently, this material is very suitable for installation in ultra high purity water and ultra high purity chemicals conveyance sistems. Thanks to its low reactivity, no polluting materials are released into the conveyed liquid. PVDF is different from PTFE - Polytetrafluoroethylene -, because it is very easy to work and weld, while its mechanical and chemical resistance are similar, also at high temperatures.

The fire resistance rating is V-0 according to UL 94 standard, so, this material is ranked as self-extinguishing.

The Hürner Italia S.r.l. PVDF line includes fittings and pipes that comply with UNI EN ISO 10931 Part 1-5 standard "PVDF piping systems for industrial applications - specifications for component and the system". When valves are considered, instead, reference is made to UNI EN ISO 16135 standard for ball valves, UNI EN ISO 16136 for butterfly valves, UNI EN ISO 16137 for check valves, - UNI EN ISO 16138 for diaphragm valves, and UNI EN ISO 21787 for globe valves.

The PVDF pipes, fittings and valves, which are certified, fully comply with the European regulations mentioned in Directive 97/23/EC on the PED - Pressure Equipment Directive - homologation and approval.

The line also includes semi-finished products, like extruded and pressed sheets, round bars and welding rods.

Information and directions on the usage of materials are given here below in order to enable the user to apply materials in the most suitable way.
