PPS EL

PPS EL - Anti-static and self-extinguishing polypropylene - is a thermoplastic material that brilliantly combines all specific self-extinguishing and anti-static features and is more and more commonly used in the industrial process. PPS EL is suitable for ventilation ducts for the conveyance of air, flammable gases, dust and solvent vapors. The addition of additives partly changes the chemical and mechanical characteristics of the basic material and, in case of high temperature and/or pressure fluids, we suggest to verify with Hürner Italia S.r.l. about the suitability of this material.

PPS EL with its black - RAL 9005 - color, is a material that perfectly resists UV rays due to its high graphite content. This beneficial feature prevents this material from being used in the manufacturing of products designed to convey liquids for human consumption.

The fire resistance rating is V-0 according to UL 94 standard. Specific transversal resistivity is <108 ? cm according to VDE 0303 standard or 15 according to the CABOT method.

PPS EL - Anti-static and self-extinguishing polypropylene - fully complies with 94/9 CE - ATEX Directives and is fully suitable for installation in classified areas, since the material is defined to have "no own potential ignition sources ".

The Hürner Italia S.r.l. ventilation line includes butt weld fittings from OD 32 mm to OD 315 mm in injection molded execution, while fittings manufactured for socket welding by hot air with filler material, have an range from OD 50 mm to OD 315 mm. Sizes exceeding OD 315 mm are usually made in the factory. Extruded pipes, instead, are available up to OD 400 mm, while larger sizes are made by formed sheets in the factory.
