Hürner Italia S.r.l. PVC - Polyvinyl chloride - is presently the best known and most commonly used thermoplastic, since it is easy to install and can be joined in several ways: it can be glued, butt welded or welded with filler material using the hot-air process. With its high mechanical resistance and good strength, it can be installed in thin wall thickness, although the distance between supports remains technically acceptable. It is particularly suitable for inner ducts in buildings, since it is very fragile when installed outdoors and exposed to bad weather and low temperatures. Additionally, its color tends to change over time because of UV rays.
PVC - Polyvinyl chloride - is grey in color, specifically RAL 7011 and is used for the pipes and fittings of the Hürner Italia S.r.l. ventilation line.
The fire resistance rating is B1 according to DIN 4102 standard and V-0 according to UL 94 standard.
DIN 4740-1 standard provides guidelines for the minimum piping thickness, while DIN 4740-2 standard indicates thicknesses for PVC socket fittings.
The Hürner Italia S.r.l. PVC line includes molded and thermoformed fittings from OD 50 mm to OD 1000 mm in all standard shapes and extruded pipes up to OD 600 mm. Greater sizes than OD 600 mm are made for ventilation lines from welded forming sheets up to OD 1200 mm.
