PVDF

The need to install ducts for higher and higher operating temperatures has brought about this material, since it can be applied up to 120°C in case of high pressure and up to 150°C, when the duct is not subject to particular stresses. PVDF - polyvinylidene fluoride - is very resistant to high temperatures and is a particularly pure thermoplastic, since it does not include any type of stabilizer against UV rays, thermal degradation and flammability. The lack of additives does not affect, its natural resistance to UV rays and self-extinguishing capability. The fire resistance rating is V-0 according to UL 94 standard, so this material is classified as self-extinguishing.

For this reason, PVDF is very commonly used in microelectronics and pharmaceutical industry. Installation is very simple, with hot air and filler material in case of socket fittings while butt fusion welding if components' ends are spigot type.

The PVDF line of the Hürner Italia S.r.l. includes injection molded fittings from OD 63 mm to OD 315 mm for butt fusion welding and from OD 50 mm to OD 315 mm for socket welding with hot air and filler material. Extruded pipes are available from OD 50 mm to OD 400 mm. PVDF fittings and accessories like adjustment dampers, compensators to complete a suction line are also available.
