The solution here is the Hürner Italia Srl ANTICOR thermoplastic liner. Polyethylene PE or polypropylene PP liner and also the polyvinylidene fluoride PVDF liner are very low elasticity modulus liners, which follow the movements of reinforced concrete buildings without any damage. This means that, once the building is finished and the welds have been checked for strength, the lined works will be chemically protected by the internal liner for its entire life.

In the work yard, the ANTICOR liner is laid out simultaneously with the manufacturing of the concrete products and the liner strongly grasps the concrete with its backing systems. If the walls are thin, no special spacers in the formworks are required; if, on the contrary, they are thick, the use of spacers may be required together with the necessary boring of the ANTICOR liner to let spacers pass through. This is no problem, since the various liner panels are welded after disassembling the formworks and the holes left by the metal spacers are sealed quickly with discs welded with specific heating elements or hot air welding tool and filler material.

The thickness of these PE and PP liners that are applied in the work yard starts from 5.0 mm, but the thickness of PE can reach 12 mm for particularly abrasive cases. The standard size of sheets is 4000/2000 mm for PE and PP, while 3000/1500 mm for PVDF and ECTFE. ECTFE (ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene) is a fluoropolymer that is particularly suitable to resist temperatures exceeding 140°C, is an excellent chemical barrier against halogens and solvents, and is used for products that are particularly exposed to corrosion.
