Double pipes

The Hürner Italia S.r.l. double piping system includes a dual-pipe duct, where one pipe lies inside the other, thus complying with the strictest safety measures in industrial processes.

Two solutions are available for the appropriate selection of the type:

• A system consisting of ducts composite of different or identical materials
• A monolithic system of ducts made of identical materials

The technique is based on the principle of making the main pipe, which contains the product to be carried, in the right size for the operating pressures and temperatures, and placing it inside an outer protection pipe, whose purpose is just collecting any liquid that has leaked for short periods. This way, the product to be conveyed is not lost, nobody comes in contact with hazardous products and any leak are under control. Connections between the several pipes are guaranteed for their nominal pressure, since connections are made by butt fusion welding, electrofusion or induction welding and not by mechanical tightening.

The inner pipe is centered in the system through distance-setting rings and the relevant adjustments resulting from dilation are made, like in single pipes, by positioning some appropriate fixed points. As a standard, the material of the product carrying pipe is of higher quality, while the protection pipe is made of a strong, yet cheaper material.
