Fans

Hürner Italia S.r.l. fans are made of thermoplastics material and are rotationally molded, thermoformed or welded according to the various types available in the program.

Three types of fans are available:

• Centrifugal with direct or indirect transmission
• Axial
• Roof

Centrifugal fans are subdivided according to the transmission method: with and without belts. While the direct link between the engine and the impeller is the most cost-effective, the belt transmission model is the most accurate and the one that provides the largest airflow and best performance. The technological development trends to replace the belt execution with converters, which can increase and reduce the impeller speed changing revolutions according to the actual duct suction requirement. When the fan is coupled with an airflow or depression controller, the flow will be changed and the absorbed power is reduced with consequent savings on energy costs.

In this case, the performance does not follow the trend of the curve of the fan, but this is not necessary in many cases. The operating curve of the belt transmission fan is also variable, but this results in no significant savings on electricity.

Axial fans are less in demand, because their purpose is moving huge volumes of low head air or gas. Therefore, they can be used industrially only where large volumes of air must be sucked from manufacturing sheds and expelled without treatment.

The third fan of the Hürner Italia S.r.l. line is the roof centrifugal fan, which is the best tool for expelling nonpolluting gases into the atmosphere, differently from centrifugal fans, which, in spite of being often installed on the roof of workshops, are unable to fulfill this task in the best way due to their shape.
